Commemorating the 100th Anniversary Battle of Seicheprey

“Remembering Seicheprey and the Boys from Connecticut’s 102nd Infantry”

Early in the morning of 20 April 1918, 3,000 German storm troopers attacked the town of Seicheprey, engaging soldiers of the 102^ndRegiment in the first major military action undertaken by American troops in World War I. 81 Connecticut soldiers were Killed in Action as the 102^nd Regiment repulsed the German attack.  The memory of these Connecticut soldiers’ bravery and sacrifice has faded in the 100 years since the action at Seicheprey occurred.
